First putting a close to the last thing like this I did, here are the movie quotes that no-one got and their source. . .

2)"After Centuries of men looking at my tits instead of my eyes and pinching my ass instead of shaking my hand, I now have the divine right to stare at a man's backside with vulgar, cheap appreciation if I want to!" P.S. I Love You
    3) "My last girlfriend was a feminist, vegan punk who broke up with me because she thought I was too angry." Saw
    8) "How's about a .357? That'll go through the seat, her, the dashboard... Shit, it'll go through the entire engine before it even knows it hit anything. It'll end up in some pedestrian three blocks away." Nick of Time
    9) "Listen, I've had my share of bad times with men, okay? Some are assholes, Elliot is not. If we don't cultivate the good ones, there aren't going to be any." Exit to Eden
    13) "No mother, you just murdered me. Take that to your goddamn therapy." Nightmare on Elm Street 4
    19) "You two-timing son of a bitch! He's a woman! "Victor Victoria

    1. Pick 20 of your favorite movies.
    2. Go to IMDb, and find a quote from each movie.
    3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
    4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
    5. No Googling/using IMDb search functions.

I did this a few years ago on a smaller scale so please forgive me if I duplicate movies, in fact two quotes are duplicates but they are both such excelent quotes. Also one quote wasn't listed on IMDB but I have confirmed it's validity. And if anyone knows how to strike something out please tell me.

    Video files
Does anyone out there make your own video files from a webcam? If so what program do you use to record and would you be willing to lay out a simple step by step of how to do this?

I have recently come into use of a webcam and would like to be able to create some video files with it.

EDIT: Actually I think I have the problem sorted out, using captureflux a great freeware.

The two sweetest words in the english language
    Non Cancerous.

My mother got the results back today from the biposy on the tumor that was removed from her abdomen last week. It turns out that it was a fibrous tumor, and completely non cancerous. It was not anything to be concerned about in the future.

She is feeling good enough that she will be traveling about 12 hours to go to May Crown in a couple weeks. Such a relief to get that news.
    2:40 pm
So yeah, still not sure what to do with myself of late, no work to go to because I'm on vacation, still concerned about my mom, although she is home and doing better. Still working out details with my sister about what is being done with that flight from Edmonton to Vancouver that we booked. Thinking I should do some cleaning around the house but zero motivation to do so.

Spent the morning doing some creative stuff so that was okay, but still. *shrugs*

    Travel Interruptus
Today was supposed to be the day I set out on my grand British vacation. I was supposed to be flying to Vancouver tonight to meet up with my parents and sister, who were driving down from where my parents live.

Unfortunately on Friday that plan entirely went south. My mother is in the hospital with what may or may not be cancer, we won't know until they do a biopsy on the mass in her abdomen.

On the other hand I am still planing to make it to AFF, so see folks there. On a local note I have nowhere that I need to be for the next couple of weeks as I had already arranged the time off work, so I am available for getting together and hanging out.

So yeah, again it's been a while since I updated anything here.

Don't really even know what to post.

I found out not too long ago that I am going to be losing my job in August, why, because they can hire a dozen Filipinos for the price of one Canadian.

To answer the question people are sure to ask, I don't know for sure what I am going to do for work, I am thinking of applying at a 311 call centre which is city services, I may end up having to take EI for a short while because August is when the job market is at it's busiest with students looking for something over the summer before going back in September.

At least I have my trip to England the end of this month to look forward, and arriving back just in time for AFF in Seattle before flying back to Edmonton, and back to work.

I am not going to say anything about updating this more often because everytime I do that I end up jinxing myself.

As a side note I should update my RL icon here, that is a few years out of date.

    Update
Wow, been too long since I updated this thing, but this time I can say with a fair degree of certainty that is going to change.

Work: I am, as it happens, updating this journal from work. I started work at Atco I-tek the call center for Atco-Gas and Atco Electric as well as a few other companies. I was trained (along with [info]laios) to take calls for Atco Gas. I enjoyed this very much except for the occasional shift that had me starting at or before 8AM. On Tuesday I was advised that the position I had applied for had accepted me. This constituted a promotion to the Afterhours department. Later hours, which is more conducive to my normal schedule, better pay, and it can be quite qiet, a lot of downtime when there aren't any widespread outages for Atco Electric. Also they are much more open about internet usage during downtime, meaning I can update my LJ from my work terminal.

Family: For the last year or two my mother has had increasing health concerns, mostly around her body rejecting more and more foods, starting with a sort of celiac disease. Later her body started to reject both "good" and "bad" fats. They recently found out what was causing it, and since her Gall Bladder was removed last Tuesday she has been doing very well and her weight should stabilize (she has lost about 80 pounds in 8 months)

Not much else to say right now, hello again everyone, and thanks for reading.

    Job Search
Been a busy week for me.

Monday I had to go for a skills assessment for Telus.

Tuesday I had another skills assessment, this time booked for Manpower on behalf of Atco (The Gas Company, the only Gas Company).

Went back Wed to Have an intake interview with a Manpower rep, and retaking a portion of the assessment I had performed poorly on due to insufficient instructions.

This morning I get a call back from Telus Scheduling me to come in for an interview next Thursday. Likewise I have an interview with an Atco supervisor to be booked sometime before Oct. 16th.

Strangely despite having only 4 hours sleep, I can't get back to sleep.

Enough is Enough, It's time for a Change.
Those of course are the words of the late great Owen Hart, but it still applies in my current situation.

For quite some time I have been extremely dissatisfied in my job. The commute is too far, the systems too unreliable. Every call I get seems too be a complex situation which takes far longer to resolve than the "allowable" average. The upshot of all this I guess is that today I quit my job at Convergys. There are people there I will miss, and even the work itself I think I will miss, and I have my doubts that I am through with call center work, but we will see what happens in the next week or so. I have to reassemble a new resume, my old one is a couple years out of date.

*blows the dust off this thing*

Hi ho, everyone It's been a while since I posted anything of consequence.

Still at Convergys, coming up on 3 years now. I've decided it's time to get off my ass there and start some upward mobility with the company. I missed the most recent application for Escalation Consultant by one day recently, but a lot of people are speculating that another round of applications will be taken soon.

Had a great time at Quad War with my folks beginning of the month, even though there was a huge wasp and hornet problem on site. Got to see some friends I haven't seen in a long time, also got to try a really tasty beer brewed by one of said friends. My parents are supposed to be bringing me a case next time they come through, it'll cost about $17 for a dozen, which puts it less expensive (and better tasting) than most commercially brewed beers. There are a few people here in town that I can't wait to share it with.

Not really much else to say, Finally got a character upto level 40 in WoW, which means, it's mountin' time! Since my character is a Blood Elf, the default mount is a Hawkstrider, which strikingly resembles a Chocobo. So now I get to run around humming the Chocobo Song all the time, fun.

    Birthday List
Somebody asked me to make one of these so here it is.

What I want for my birthday (Sept 19.)

    Wireless Keyboard
    Wireless Mouse
Saw I and Saw II (The multi-DVD OMG it's got everything versions)
If anyone can find a copy of WWE Backlash 2004 that would be awesome.

Anyone looking for something a little on the cheaper side I always welcome people willing to feed my addiction and buying me packs of any of the three Collectible Card Games, that I play, Raw Deal (WWE based), World of Warcraft (based of the MMO of the same name) or Vampire: The Eternal Struggle (Based of the RPG Vampire: the Masquerade). These can be purchased at most card, comic or hobbey shops, but the best places I find are Thunderground Comics in St. Albert, West Edmonton Coin and Stamp in WEM upper level by the casino, and All Star Collectibles in Capilano Mall.

And if you are the kind of person who liked to buy gift certificates may I suggest Best Buy (Good deals on DVD's), Sears (I could always use new pants), or La Senza (I rarely wear masculine underwear).

This will be cross posted on both my LJ and FA, and may appear on my facebook in a modified form as my facebook is kept free of references to my crossdressing.
